2 More Power Companies Decide to Scrap Aging Nuclear Reactors

Kyushu Electric Power Company has decided to shut down it’s No. 1 reactor at the Genkai plant in Saga Prefecture, while Chugoku Electric Power Company has decided to shut down its No. 1 reactor at the Shimane plant in Matsue.  This follows a recent decision by Kansai Electric Power Company and Japan Atomic Power Company to decommission a total of three other older reactors.
